..yet another review

Assalamualaikum,

Remember, the remedy episode on what and what not works on Baby.I ? Well, praying that this is the last one... insya-Allah~

Now, Baby.I's face has already cleared up since I last used DermAid...which was 2 months ago? I think. But other thinks started to flare up lagi. Again brought him to a private clinic this time around (since I'm not in Bandar so I only had to options of going to Dr. Amir's clinic) and Baby.I was prescribed with hydrocortisone (which I know doesn't work) AND betasone (this is for his body and doesn't work jua) I was on another round on finding out the cure for his body particularly his legs and arms. Kesian brabis sampai berair2 and we all know how that felt kan? :(

SO anyways, my Dad suggested me to go for the chinese herbal cream. 'Insya-Allah mujarab tu,' he convinced. But I was abit reluctant cos of the ingredient which we don't know (since none of us reads chinese) and I really have forgotten that one of my staff is chinese that time, but few days later barutah macam, 'Eh asta!!! I can bring her jua and ask her to read the ingredients for me!! *lol* *bimbo mode* Sekalinya, we went to a chinese medicine dispensary and I got myself the BL Chinese Herbal Cream.

Ingredients are all natural. chinese flower oil, some chinese herbs, coal (to give the cooling effect, and I just knew traditionally it exactly does this! Alhamdulillah~), a percentage of sulphur but very minimal to kill whatever thingamagics yang causing the problem... 'inflammation' as I called it, behold the result....

I once said that I don't want to use BL Cream right? Well, scrap that!!! This is the cream to go for...!!! Definitely within a week, dear son is free from everything!!!
Alhamdulillah~ syukran ya Rabb!

Now, Baby.I is well- I won't say fully free, but yes... he's no longer suffering from all sorts of 'inflammations' and I'm praying that it'll stay that way sampai bila2! *Amin*

Rules to follow :

  • lotion for the whole body after every baths
  • CJ's cream for rashes (which reminds me, I need to stock up)
  • mid-day body rinse is a must and change his shirt
  • face must be cleanse after every feed
  • CD change every 2-3 hours and inserts stripped every two months or whenever it started to smell unpleasant!
  • bedsheets and playmat laundered once every fortnight
  • detergent must be hypoallergenic,
  • when outdoors, have to pakaikan Bud's Mozzie Clear Lotion on him, else even a tiny mosquito bite pun can cause the 'inflammation'
  • basically, hygiene must be maintained throughout lah.... as now I am pretty sure, Baby.I's skin is very sensitive
Oh yaaaa... I forgot to mention jua, Bud's Super Soothing Cleanser and Lotion... doesn't really help. Pffft! Not Bud's, J&Js, Anakku... Eubos boleh lah but I want a cheaper option IF ada! Kan give up saja inda masatu.... until one very fine day, I found out that Guardian actually sells Nivea Baby! Everytime I went to Guardian, inda pernah ternampak... baru kot? It's hypoallegenic, it's for sensitive skin (has normal ones jua) Oh, and baunya oh-so-nyaman!! He's been using them for almost a month dah and no reactions on his skin! Alhamdulillah....

pretty new in the market kan ni???

I have not tried the lotion but will do so soon.. hehe and so far Baby.I is enjoying his bath time with this one... Alhamdulillah~~ :D :D :D Cost me only around $7.00 for this! saving kaaaann~~

With that, I shall end my entry for today heheheh .. ngalih krg biskita semua membaca! Mudahan memberi manfaat to all.. insya-Allah~ :)

... eczema (part 3)

Assalamualaikum all..

Alhamdulillah, our prayers have been granted. Baby.I no longer suffers bad rashes (eczema) on his cheeks. No more inflamed and bloody cheeks!! Thanks to my father for reminding us to use Air Zamzam upon cleansing Baby.I's cheeks every after feeding and thanks to dearest Hubs for buying DermAid for our dearest Baby.I... syukur Alhamdulillah... within 4 days, Baby.I's cheeks are flawless, as though nothing had happened.

I was sceptical when reading other mother(s) saying that the cream works wonders... but after seeing how it actually work on Baby.I, I can never stop thanking Allah for His guidance.

@Mami : hi... Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried Isomil worrying that Baby.I may possibly be lactose intolerant but... he became constipated after drinking Isomil. Kesian him menangis2...  Since then, we switched to Enfalac A+, his poop became normal again (just like when he was bf-ing) Alhamdulillah.... I guess, babies have different reaction towards FM. What works with one may not work to another... :) Oh yes, and I don't think he is lactose intolerant pasalnya only arah his cheeks yang timbul what started as kurap susu then flaring up to become eczema. He is fine now and I stopped using the dermAid cream... and my Eubos cream bath pun habis. Now, as 'maintenance' or preventive measures, we used Bud's Organic Everyday Head-to-Toe cleanser for Baby.I
I will review on Bud's Organic cleanser after a week's time since I only started using them today. Tempted to get the Super Soothing Rescue Lotion sal nyaman tah jua baunya. But I will have to wait for my CJ's BUTTer cream lah... karang riuh dearest Hubs macam2 cream dibali since both of us agreed to just use the cleanser above and CJ's~ We'll see how it goes lah~ :)

THAT aside, today Baby.I is 4 months old.... gosh!! Has it been that long???!! The next thing you know, he'll be rolling over, sitting up, crawling, taking solids.... saying 'mama' and 'babah'...walking.... *sigh* grow up well yeah my dearest~ His upcoming appointment will be end of this month and I can't wait to see his growth development lagi. Mama and Babah will always pray for your well being sayang... we love you always!

HAPPY 4 MONTHS OUR DEAREST BABY.I .... Jadilah seorang anak yang soleh, pintar, berakhlak mulia, baik budi pekerti dan perangai, pemimpin yang adil dan jauhilah segala larangan Allah SWT. Mudah-mudahan sentiasa didalam lindunganNya jua *Amin*

Until then, xoxo~

... fighting eczema (part 2)

Assalamualaikum ladies,

So, I come to another episode of eczema. Poor Baby.I still suffers from it and some of the product(s)recommended are not helping...
  • Shaklee Basic H - plan kan pakai for his CDs saja but that can wait.
  • Eubos - still using the cream bath oil cos this has worked so well in making Baby.I's skin oh-so-soft~ hehe tho in terms of treating the eczema.. not so lah, prolly cos I didn't use the lotion kali?
  • QV -baru pakaikan sekajap and instead of controlling the flare... it worsens it. so, no-no lah...
  • Sebamed - unavailable at the stores at the moment
  • Rosken - used by husband and he didn't recommend it for use on Baby.I
  • Bud's Organic - an organic bath cream and lotion, have variety of function but the ones for treating eczema would be the Super Soothing Hydrating Cleanser + Super Soothing Rescue Lotion... it's abit costly so this will have to wait...

  • CJ's cream - another organic cream to treat / control eczema. I ordered them online just a few days back RM 6.90 saja per 0.5oz jar. Status : awaiting arrival hehe

  • Sudocrem - got a small tub of this but doesn't seem to work jua... *sigh*

Found another product, DermAid - read through BBM and ada mother(s) recommend this to treat eczema for their babies. so why not take a shot. Search around BSB tapi out of stock... sekali tau2 in KB ada! *lol* Ngalih2 saja meround2 Bandar.... So today, I started to apply this on Baby.I and every feed I clean his cheeks with Air Zam-Zam. Mudah-mudahan this will work... insya-Allah~ Baby.I may have inherited eczema from both me and hubs but when it comes to lots of product testing to find out which suits best... THAT he inherits from me! Alhamdulillah~ I tell you, even sampai masani myself inda bleh guna barang skati2... or else menjadi~

I can't wait for the arrival of my CJ's cream tho... I've smelled a sample (inda ingat which scent) and it's sooo.. well, nyaman lah baunya! Hehe hopefully when Baby.I's eczema subsides..I can use this cream on him as a control and preventive measure...

...fighting eczema! :S

Baby.I has been fighting eczema since he was 2months+ and this has got me worried. Apart from it being inherited from either myself or Mr.A, we have no idea on what to do with it lagi. Went to the Govt clinic and Baby.I was prescribed with hydrocortisone & aqueous cream which normally should work wonders within 1 or 2 weeks but it's an on and off thing for him. Poor little baby.... I too suffered the same after delivery atu (my reasoning would be hormones? antam saja tia) but after given hydrocortisone of a higher concentration lagi..alhamdulillah within days nada.

Nasib jua dari awal I have taken the precaution of using sensitive baby laundry detergent for all Baby.I stuffs. All his shirts are cotton, when Baby.I is feeding or salivating we make sure that his cheeks are wiped clean with lukewarm water and patted dry, powder isn't my thing, eliminated J&J products and now have been using Eubos Cream Bath Oil saja.

It moisturizes Baby.I's skin alright but I have yet to see a lot of positive outcome from it. So far, his cheeks are no longer flaring up except in the afternoon(s) ... the heat and all~ I can see the newly developed patches have dried up and peeled off but yang existing ones, still jua lah except that it's not flaring. Mesti cuba one by one. Brunei Mother's forum has also mentioned about this CHinese Medicinal cream that works for them and their children.. but it's in Chinese.. I must know the ingredients! :S Need to google it soon...

Here's a few list of products used to control eczema :
  • Shaklee Basic H - thinking of getting this one since it is multipurpose jua
  • Eubos
  • QV - used by my sister for her children but abit reluctant kan cuba..
  • Sebamed
  • Rosken - used by husband
  • Bud's Organic
  • CJ's cream - best for treating nappy rash
  • Sudocrem
Basic H2 has to be on the top on my list cos I want this real bad but since nada yg available at the moment I went and go ahead with Eubos, inda berani kan put rosken but as I read can be used for babies jua though not so sure from what age. Baby.I is still an infant jua kan! Buds organic.. *ehem* pricey ... but will definitely consider that jua. Sayang bah if buy then nda bepakai sampai habis.

I'm thinking to change his formula jua ni. BUt then again, so far what he's drinking is just fine jua. Takut kan tukar lagi cos last time when I did that, constipated ya tarus and he cried so hard when he poops ...oh poor Baby.I. !!!
Update : BL Chinese Cream is an antifungal cream. Tak berani lah I ~
As a ketoconazole, BL cream should only be applied once a day. It has been known as teratogenic and can harm a fetus. Although, creams are only for localized effect and not systemically, pregnancy should also be considered. Ketoconazole is not for pregnant and lactating mothers. Care should be provided for young children to avoid hypersensitivity reactions. Ketoconazole may cause skin irritation and burning sensation. Infrequently, individuals may also develop contact dermatitis- a condition characterized by severe itching.

Better be safe than sorry... *sigh* it's research time!

Update 2 : Basic H2 is a cleaning agent. Not advisable to be put on babies. I know some mother(s) use it to treat their child but cleaning agent? hmmmmm... nda saya berani jua...
