Bio-Essences Tanaka White ..... the review

Assalamualaikum,

I believe I owe my readers a review on Bio-Essences Tanaka White range.  Simply said... gotta LOVE IT!! I'm a simple person and I dislike having to apply lots of things on my face! I have been using the starter kit for a month now and am soooo in LOVE with it.  Not only does it make my face moisturised, I can feel the obvious difference! I'm 'glowing' too!! Hubs loves it.. and that's the most important bit! Bought another set of starter kit the other day for travelling use. How it works is simple = Cleanse --> Tone --> Apply. Three simple steps, like Agent OSO! *lol* ok... here goes

Gentle Cleansing Foam
- Love the smell and the fact that it really doesn't cause tightening to my skin! My face feels oh-so-clean and light everytime I cleansed it! I just have to use a tiny amount and lather it up with water... used the small starter kit cleanser for a month!

Bright White Clarifying Softener
- I remember when I first applied this on my face, I felt nothing! Nothing in a good way that is~ No tingling feel, itchiness and sensitivity..Nada! I was surprised tho, cos the very same day I actually went to Laneige and have them test their product on my face... I felt my face turned red with the tingles for every single product. Pedih semacam!~ So yes, I love how the softener feels on my skin and how immediate my skin react to it!

Rejuvenating Whitening Daycream
- Quite dry and I don't really like it. It's SPF20 though, so I only use this when I'm out under the sun. It does make my face oh-so-white immediately. So far no reaction to my skin tho I can see that my dark spots are slowly whitening.. Alhamdulillah for that! But the fact that it's dries up so fast.. hmmmm~

Renewal Night Cream
- Now this, I really love, love, love, love, love!! Skin has been oh-so-soft eversince! The bouncyness, the glow, the moisture... loving it! A definite must use!
Rating : 5 of 5

Double Essences (Whitening & Firming)
- Prefer this than the daycream. Why? Because it does the same thing like the daycream BUT feels like the night cream.  As I have said before, I looooove the night cream... hence, I loooove the double essences.. *yay* sadly, this is from the starter kit pack though.

- I bought the bottled one and honestly, I doesn't work on my skin. The moment I put them on my skin turned oh-so-sensitive and now I have to live with dry skin lagi semula... (effect frm using the bottled double essence). After a whole month rejuvenation! DISLIKE!! How is the starter kit and bottled version any different? *puzzled* Makes me think twice
Rating : 5 of 5(frm the starter kit) , 2 of 5 (actual one)

Mask
- A definite NO for me!! Just immediately after putting it on my face I can feel the tingle, the heat sensation and seriously 'burnt' my face!! Had to rinse everything off the face takut2 makin teruk my skin jadinya. *sigh* Kesian lah muka I~

All in all, I have to scout for a different skincare lagi. What I do love about this brand is the scent and how refreshing my skin feels every after cleansing. But it's all in the starter kit?? I'm soooo not buying the commercial range cos takut the same effect happened just like the double essence. So, note to self.... starter kit may vary from the actual range. Don't be deceived! I am back to square one with the all so dried up skin lagi... *sigh* Does that mean I have to just buy Bio-Essence starter kit saja? Errmm....

... officially a toddler!!

Alhamdulillah, syukran ya Rabb for all the blessings!! Baby.I is offically a toddler!! I remember few days back when I told the nurse that he walks while holding my pinky? Hahaha well, he's no longer doing that and he can toddle on his own now.. *yay* This is as of Friday evening before he went to bed and yesterday, macam pro tia duduk berdiri on his own.... *happytears*

More child safety products to be installed at our place..... i.e safety gates, fridge lock, padding mat etc. After all, his safety and developments are our priorities... so yes! Let's get surfing!

... the things I packed

Assalamualaikum all..

I thought since it is still fresh in mind, I might as well typed everything out before I forget.. ~ Packing when travelling with a baby is not much difference with packing when we're going for a sleeping over at our parent's or in-laws except with lots and lots of extra clothes especially when our intention to go to KL is to shop! Now, I have a problem when it comes to diaper changes at public places (changing room, fitting room, strollers... u name it!) Baby.I hates it! He hates it so much that the moment we put him on the changing pad, he'll cry his heart out!! rrrreeaaaaaaallly cry his heart out that a whole mothercare (B) shop will definitely hear him and ofcourse, I will surely get that 'look' from the others...  ("^;^) heheh... and due to the packed schedule since our trip involves 2 whole days on the road (arrive in KL night time, the next day off to Johor and stayed there for 2 nights)with family outings almost every evening and shopping during the day, as much as I hate saying this, I resorted to using disposables for this trip but ONLY with the brand I trusted (HUGGIES Ultra) that surely will not cause skin rash to dearest Baby.I~ He wears them the first month of his lives so I'm sure this is good on him.

Ok, I'm a checklist lady.. so when it comes to travelling be it alone or with my family. I always have mine ready....
  1. Travel documents - passports, tickets or if you do web check-in, printed copy of your boarding pass, list of places to go and things to get.
  2. Toiletries - for Baby.I :bathing essentials, CJs, lotions, toothbrushes, agnesia powder (just in case), HUGGIES Ultra M54
  3. Inflight diaperbag & entertainment - a little bit of everything from changing clothes, toys, snacks, his bottles and fm, hot water flask, diapers, wipes, sanitisers and etc. oh any tablet or smartphones (Flight Mode) for entertainment. When bringing a baby on board an airplane, I guess the restriction on bringing fluid is less.. baby essential is high priority! But for bf-ing mothers, the stuffs to bring will be less ofcourse~ For more info HERE
  4. Babyfood - enough for the whole one week (breakfast, lunch n dinner), packed in a styrofoam container with lots of techni-ice!! Sealed and plastic wrapped at the airport @ $4.00, a can of Enfapro 900g, feeding set.. fave cup, plate, bips and all~
  5. Clothes - a few pjs, shirts and pants, towels and handkerchiefs. A small bottle of baby laundry liquid. Incase ada free time to do laundry.
  6. Stroller - ours' an umbrella kind.. had it since before Baby.I was born. I remember posting an entry about this. Best used as trolley throughout our shopping spree!! *lol* Pls bring the stroller to the check-in counter for tagging, they will take the stroller when you're about to board the plane and store them in a special compartment, it will ofcourse be on the belt with the luggage on arrival.
  7. Baby carrier - despite having a stroller, it is important to have a carrier as well. There are places where it is much easier to move about with a carrier than strollers. Plus, babies tend to get bored when sitting around in their strollers the whole day.. so, yah!
  8. Camera - now I know we all have smart phones.. but when it comes to travelling, I prefer the camera.. better quality photos! Ah yes, charger too!
  9. Chargers - phone, tablets, laptops.. anything you're bringing abroad! Nada charger inda bebattery semua tu!
  10. Hotel / Transport bookings - please ensure everything is confirmed!
At least having all of the above sorted out, you won't be in much of a hassle during the trip. If you're looking for a more detailed list, browse through HERE. I am now looking forward to our next trip together in 2013. Where? Have yet to decide with the Mister.. hehe what can I say, I love travelling and it is good way to spend your quality time with the loved ones! Stress FREEEEEE from work!!

Until next time... xoxo!~

... @ 12 months

Yesterday was Baby.I's 12 months appointment and we were late!!! Haiyoooooo~

Reached the clinic at ard 9.00am. *worried much* cos it's almost Baby.I's naptime and his cranky mode was ON!! Alhamdulillah ngam masa we came to the clinic, inda ramai orang. Placed his card on the counter, weigh him (he's 10.2 kg now) and gained alhamdulillah walaupun sikit. His weight has been constant since he was 6 months.. 9.5, 9.6, 9.8 like that~ Padantah dulu atu bolat banar usulnya! *lol* He's getting taller.. Alhamdulillah... everything is according to the range lah.

Few mins after, kana called in (no queue to my surprise.. nda ramai orang ani bah!!) and the nurse did some checks, Alhamdulillah Baby.I is developing well.
- Can he understands when being called?
- Can he say 'mama' 'babah' 'mamam' etc all the simple things?
- Walk / Cruise?
Oh he cruises alright! If he's not holding on to our sofa, he moves around the crib simply just by holding my pinky. I hardly have the chance to sit down and read! Confirm d tariknya my hand kan dipimpinnya jalan2.. hehe toddling soon eh Baby.I?

Nurse ckp insya-Allah inda lagi batah tu... then told me that today will be the MMR and Hib injections on both arms!!! Suspen giler... tot dua2 on both arms... rupanya, MMR one side, Hib on the other... hoookaayyyy~~ Hilang panic sikit and as expected, Baby.I cried but just when the nurse put the needle in, sudah siap...diam tia. Kan di ambilnya plang injection ah...!! So he is really not afraid of the needle or pain, just hates the idea of being hold by force when the session is carried out. *senyum kambing* Hehe ada2 saja lah budak ni... Mama knows you're a strong boy.... injection is nothing! The challenges and responsibilities you will face in this world as a man... now that's something. Mama do'akan that you will always be in Allah's right path... *Amin*

The whole appointment session took us 30 mins only.. and that's record breaking for someone who came late for their appointment. Must've been a slow day at the clinic yesterday... Alhamdulillah, syukur atas memudahkan urusan kami ya Rabb! :)

Until next time... xoxo~

...1st flight out!

Assalamualaikum,

Not the 1st time to go across the boarder for Baby.I but a first via airplane. Alhamdulillah, the trip was worth it ... even though yours truly didn't get to buy what she wanted but managed to snatch a few items. Hehehe.

So how did I prepare for the trip? I did my packing a week in advance and almost half of the luggage was Baby.I's stuffs! From clothes, diapers, snacks and food!! Preparing the food was easy, macam biasa jer....it's packing them up yg abit worrying. Lightweight is THE top requirement, so I decided to use styrofoam container to transport Baby.I's food.... then on how to keep all the food frozen for the journey? NASIB lah that time BabyMe SHop ada instock techni-ice but just two sheets (thought it was enough.... but noottttt!!! good thing I did trial on packing them food) and luckily, ada jua dearest mom online selling them... pheeeewwww~~!

http://www.ezidri.net.au/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/t/e/techni_ice_2_2.jpg

It was an experience to remember... first flight out and our flight got delayed TWICE due to airport closure! Dengan hati yg penuh beruri... I can only hope that all the food to be in its best condition. Alhamdulillah, all the food remained frozen eventhough it was out from the freezer for almost 12 hrs... Oh pls enquire ur place of stay whether or not they have freezer to store the food. We stayed with a family member there so it was no biggie, even to our holiday destination pun we stayed in an apartment w/ fully equipped kitchen!

Flight to KL : Baby.I went cranky not because of the take-off or pressure changes ... most ppl would think so but knowing him, it's simply because there was no room for him to move about. Al-maklum... biasa roaming around kan~ and awal2 atu pun abis dh magazines and inflight leaflet dikacaunya *hoHoho* Datang2 have to sit on our laps during safety briefing until take-off (takes abt 15mins masa atu... and to a baby who loves to move about... that an absolute BOREDOM!) The flight hostess pun giving me 'the look'... because when my baby cries... he CRIES that my parents pun panicked!! *lol* After the seatbelt signs were off.. ok tia. Cos we let him play around.. and he eventually slept the rest of the flight until landing and reaching to our destination.

Flight from KL : Baby.I dozed off during take-off and flight BUT bangun tia when the plane was descending (seatbelt sign ON!) so... cranky ya jua for not being able to move about and since, Baby.I refused to feed ... so yes, everyone just had to listen to his tantrum sampai the plane landed. Hehehe. Hubby and I were both calm handling this situation.. don't know about the rest of the passengers lah ah...our seats were the most front so.. heheh tak nampak lah muka orang lain.

Good thing I've read through BabyCenter.com wrt baby tantrums in-flight. There's just nothing much you can do if you've tried almost every steps to prevent it from happening. So that particular article really helped us to be calm the whole flight / journey. And Alhamdulillah, it was a memorable week spent w/ my little family.... more adventures to come! Insya-Allah~

N/B : another entry on our vacay coming soon~  a little teaser - "JPO"

A year ago, you came into this world, changed our lives and it has never been better.

A year ago, you were just a little child and us, we know little about parenting. Entering motherhood makes me anxious.... both your father and I.

A year ago, I would never have thought this day came yet so fast... with all the memories still fresh in the mind. It feels just like yesterday.

Yes, a year ago, you were born.

It has been A YEAR and our days seem incomplete w/o seeing that smile and even hearing those cries.

Everyday, we pray for our family's good health and wellbeing. May we always be in Allah's right path, protection and guidance. May we be amongst the pious and be granted with Jannah...insya-Allah.

Happy One Year to our miraculous, inimitable, father of many... A.k.a Baby.I

Love always, Mama & Babah

P/S: another upcoming entry on our recent vacay... I'm abit unwell so bare with me yah?
